The Spirit 56 represents the Spirit concept in one of its most refined and flexible incarnations. Whilst conceived primarily as a true 'blue water' world girdler with the ability to carry all the stores and equipment that such a concept demands, this supremely elegant yacht also has the grace and pace to revel in the great Classic regattas.

The Spirit 56 shares the same sense of 'gravitas' as the Spirit 76. A Spirit with a little more displacement (12 tonnes) and a lot more volume, most suitable for the Owner who revels in spending extended periods of time afloat and perhaps travelling longer distances, but who wishes to cover these distances quickly and efficiently and with the minimum of fuss. Deck layout is clean and purposeful and the yacht can easily be set up for short or single-handed sailing.
The interior layout is perfect with a superb Owner's suite forward and a beautiful Guest suite aft, both complemented by a most flexible saloon and a twin Pullman style cabin giving excellent sea berths when on passage. Every aspect of this classic design is optimised for comfort and practicality from the size and number of the skylight hatches, the generous cupboard and hanging space and the cavernous lazarette which, as on all Spirits, provides copious storage for all necessary equipment.
The mechanical and electrical specification may be as sophisticated as required with the capacity to carry generator, watermaker, extra tankage or batteries - the possibilities are unlimited.
Despite her bias towards cruising, the Spirit 56 is no slouch. By now well proven in regattas, she is capable of speeds in excess of 14 knots off the wind and around nine upwind with an easy motion - so whether your trip is around the bay or around the world, the smiles per mile will be just the same.
