Spirit 100

Spirit Yachts is proud to introduce the Spirit 100, a superyacht of supreme elegance and performance. Designed and built in-house to the highest quality, she represents state of the art technology allied with uncompromising beauty and style, bringing outstanding sailing performance.

...there has been no superyacht quite like this before.

Built in modern lightweight wood/epoxy technology with laser cut stainless steel-reinforced ring frames, the Spirit 100 is very different from most previous superyachts. The superyacht world has seen everything from extreme minimalism to flamboyant complexity. But rarely, if ever before, has a superyacht combined such classic beauty, laminar wood construction, the latest underwater foil profiles and a highly efficient modern rig.

...a 100 foot yacht weighing less than 50 tons is truly exceptional.

Her exterior represents all the purity of line and elegance that attract admirers wherever Spirits sail. Inside, however, like any superyacht, the Spirit 100 is entirely custom designed and built with the client having absolute free reign to choose the style and layout - anything is possible from our hallmark fielded and raised rich mahogany panelling to the lighter touch of the New England style.

Whatever your preference your yacht will be constructed by one of the very best teams in the world, with quality built into every detail.

The lines and construction of the hull result in a yacht so strong and lightweight that, with a powerful rig, fin & bulb keel and a semi-balanced spade rudder, she takes maximum advantage of the elements resulting in an easy sailing performance where wind speed and boat speed are often as one.

The hull form is perfectly drawn allowing the yacht to move through the water creating minimal wake and a barely discernible quarter wave.

Hull construction is Brazilian Cedar Planking, 35mm scantling x 60mm cover, epoxy bonded. Cedar planking overlaid with three layers 3mm Khaya veneers, laid at 45 degrees to planking, epoxy bonded. The hog, keel, stem, stern post, beam shelf and horn timber all constructed from straight grain Douglas Fir. All floors, engine beds, keel and mast support from Brazilian Mahogany.

24 major ring frames fitted along the hull from laminated Sapele at 150mm moulded and 80mm sided except for the primary structure area around the mast, chainplates and keel and in the rudder area where Laser Cut 6x100x100mm Stainless Steel H-section pierced ring frames are stitched to Sapele laminated frames.
The deck is swept quarter sawn teak with all brightwork in highly varnished Brazilian Mahogany. The keel is an SG steel foil with antimonal lead bulb and massive stainless steel keel bolts. The rudder stock and blade are engineered in carbon fibre running in stainless bearings. Spars are in carbon fibre by Nordic for extra lightness and stiffness, with rod rigging and spectra halyards.

Sails are by Quantum-Parker and Kay on below deck furling gear by Bartels. Winches are by Andersen with custom deck gear by Hercules. The engine is a flexibly mounted 200hp Yanmar driving a Gori 3-blade folding propeller. Fuel capacity is 1000lts with 1000lts water.
