NEW Deckhouse Designs Launched! June 2011

The first two yachts in Spirit Yachts' exciting new Deckhouse, or DH, range have been launched and are proving themselves every bit as desirable as the world renowned Classic range from this award-winning company.

At 50 and 57 feet respectively, these new yachts offer the same graceful lines, superb modern construction and technology, ease of handling and sparkling performance as the rest of the fleet but with a little more volume for enhanced world-wide cruising capability and comfort. Freeboard has been increased slightly to give a drier ride on passage and the pagoda deckhouse offers a great social area with comfortable seating/extra berths as well as excellent weather protection while sailing.

Spirit 100 'Gaia' Completes Her Refit

The magnificent 'GAIA', having turned many heads in Antigua Classics in 2008 and spent last summer in the Med, returned to our yard last winter for a variety of cosmetic and other refurbishment works including a new companionway arrangement.  After a full respray, she is now sporting her new aquamarine hull colour  cruising in Greece prior to participating in the Superyacht Cup in Sardinia later this summer, followed by Les Voiles de St. Tropez in October.

Recent Launches

Another Spirit 56, 'SPIRITED LADY of Fowey', launched in November, is a liveaboard boat in the Caribbean and drew many admiring glances when she competed in Antigua Classics Week in April 2009, finishing a very creditable fifth in class in her first regatta. She differs from her predecessor by having a slightly reduced rig size more suitable for the fresh Caribbean conditions and a mainsheet track on the coachroof to clear the cockpit for daily living.

These are typical examples of how the build technique at Spirit Yachts is flexible enough to accommodate the very specific requirements of each Owner.
