Displacing just eight tonnes, the Spirit 52 has a hull form of elegant proportions, but her beauty is not just skin deep. With the usual Spirit attributes of minimal wetted surface and an astonishing power to weight ratio, she is an outstanding performer both as an extremely comfortable fast cruiser and as a regatta star. Off the wind performance up to around 16 knots in suitable conditions is complemented by a close-winded nine knots upwind - truly a sailor's delight.
